Konopiste castle The castle of Konopiste and its beautiful gardens are situated at 60 kilometres South of Prague. It was founded by the end of the 13th century, and since then it had known various reconstruction works and styles. The last important alteration dates the end of the 19th century carried out by Joseph Moker, who made of the castle a beautiful gothic palace. Among the famous owners of the Konopiste castle we can mention Ferdinand d`Estee whom death caused the First World War. The castle has a very rich history and shelters important collections of art and weapons .
