Kutna Hora


Kutna Hora Kutna Hora is situated 60 kilometres East of Prague. Its foundation goes back to the 13th century. With the discovery of its rich silver mines, greatly exploited, Kuta Hora had speedily grown and it reached a more important rate than Prague throughout the 14th and the 15th centuries. The town is rich of historical monuments ranged among the nicest of the whole Europe. We can point out "Saint Barbara" cathedral built by the end of the 14th century. Its inside includes a unique museum in the gothic and renaissance 15th century paintings. By 1995, many of this town's monuments were ranged among the cultural UNESCO patrimony.
