Trebon


Trebon Trebon is located some 180 kilometres South-East of Prague. It's situated in the middle of a vast biosphere reserve of the UNESCO. Its foundation goes back to the mid 12th century. It includes one of the more important castles of the Bohemia, which is a beautiful castle in the Renaissance style. The Castle of Trebon used to be the headquarters of the Rozembergs and Schwarsenbergs who governed the Southern Bohemia for a long time and who helped significantly the flourishment of the region and of the Trebon town. Nice houses of the renaissance style with baroque shields surround the place of the town. There is a gothic tomb, the one of Schwarsenbergs dating of the 19th century, as well as a nice church, of the same style. The town of Trebon is well known by its attractive landscape and its large ponds. Thanks to its thermal sources and its known spas Trebon got the statute of a thermal town since more than half a century.
